David Cameron, Artistic Director/Writer
David graduated from theatre at York University in 1984 and performed in the inaugural production of The Dream In High Park and many theatres in Toronto. David has played major roles in film and TV over the years and co-founded Kingbaby Productions with his wife Jackie in 1989. David wrote the story of Mad Mabel's Christmas when he was in grade seven in order to work off demerit points for bad behaviour. In 1998 he re-wrote the story into a one-act play that has seen five productions. David's other produced plays include The Sculpture, The Gizzard Trial and La Vita Grande which was awarded "best comedy" in the 2003 Fringe Festival. David has been the host of his live late night talk show, The Dave Cameronson Show and writer of many of Kingbaby's sketch comedies. Recently David saw a successful complete sell-out run of his new full-length Supernatural Sex Farce, The View. David is currently working it's sequel, "A Womb with a View"
Jackie Minns, C-Artistic Producer Actor/Writer/Director

Jackie blends 25 years of professional theatre experience as an actor/director/teacher. She is a performer of great versatility with a strong connection to physical theatre as well as roots in contemporary and classical acting. Jackie trained and performed with Axis Theatre, The Del Arte International Physical theatre school and various theatres/studios in Toronto throughout the 80's-mid 90's.
Since forming Kingbaby Productions, Jackie has co-created numerous plays, cabarets, videos and solo multi-discipline works. She has also appeared in numerous television commercials and independent films. Jackie will be directing Kingbaby's next production The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine.
As a teacher, Jackie has worked for over a decade in schools and private institutions as a coach and teacher of movement, creative drama and yoga, inspiring her students to explore physical development and control with integrity and joy.
Nina Rhodes-Hughes, Director/Teacher/Actor
Nina is a new resident of Bowen Island, and recently directed the successful production of Kingbaby’s The View. She is a member of the Board of directors for BIAC and looks forward to assisting in the creation of a theatre on Bowen.
Nina studied acting with some of the most respected and renowned acting coaches including Michael Chekov, Bruce Dern, Paula Shaw and The Actors Studio.
Nina was put under contract to Columbia Studios and Screen Gems where she starred in the NBC daytime series “Morning Star” for several years. She had recurring roles, guest appearances in television and film. Nina hosted a television talk show for 7 years and has produced, directed and hosted 2 documentaries for television. Recently Nina co-starred and co-directed in a production of The Vagina Monologues.
Nina taught Acting for the Camera and Musical Theatre at Western Washington University for 7 years, where she also produced and directed student films. She taught and originated the acting program at the Vancouver Film School.
Mara Brenner, Stage Manager/Light Technician/Co-Producer
Mara graduated with honors from the creative arts department at Dawson College in Montreal. While there, she also co-directed at McGill Players Theatre & the Montreal West Operatic Society. Mara continued her theatre studies at UBC in Vancouver before moving to Bowen Island in 1996. At home on Bowen she has stage managed Lend Me A Tenor for TOTI, and has become Kingbaby's resident Stage Manager having worked with 3 previous productions of Mad Mabel 's Christmas, two runs of La Vita Grande including it’s 2003 Fringe Festival tour. And Kingbaby’s Premier of The View in October. Mara is also the artistic producer of the annual Bowen Annual mini-"Fridge" festival.
