Jackie is a performer of great versatility with an expertise in movement, comedy and physical theatre. She established roots in contemporary and classical acting at the age of 14 while involved in many community theatre productions.

She trained and performed with Axis Theatre, was a pioneer member of Vancouver Theatre Sports and studied at The Del Arte International Physical Theatre school in California and various acting and voice teachers at Equity Showcase in Toronto and with Alex Bruhanski in Vancouver.

In the mid 80’s Jackie toured with several theatre companies throughout the U.S. and Eastern Canada before meeting her husband David in Toronto in l989. Together they formed Kingbaby Productions which has originated numerous plays, including La Vita Grande, The View, and Mad Mabel’s Christmas as well as cabarets, videos and collaborative multi-discipline works based on Bowen since 1995.

She has also appeared in numerous television commercials, industrials and independent films. Jackie has worked for over a decade in schools and private institutions as a coach and teacher of movement, drama and yoga, inspiring her students to explore acting with integrity and joy.
